This module provides an introduction to the administration of the purchasing function in a supply chain management environment, including: organization and operation of the purchasing department, principles and procedures processes, budgeting, strategy and planning, personnel resource management, inter-departmental relationships, inventory management and disposal, personnel and departmental performance assessment and reporting, and leadership.
